Tidal Loops offers guided fly fishing day trips to the pristine estuaries along the Garden Route, targeting the elusive Spotted Grunter, hard-fighting Garrick and the occasional Kabeljou (Dusky Cob) and Elf (Shad) and even estuary mullet.
Beginners and experienced fly fishers welcome to make contact to personalise your experience.
Day trip includes collection and drop-off, light snack and refreshments, provision of all tackle suited to the day’s fishing unless you choose to use your own. Bring along your protection, something warm and maybe some booties or beach shoes, and spend a day out on the water.
Tidal Loops also offers occasional trip to van der Kloof Dam on the Orange to target our indigenous Yellowfish species, and can also explore other options to fish the Eastern Cape for Trout and Yellowfish venues on request from October through to March. Should you be interested in this as an option, it will require overnight stays and some travel. Advance notice required.
Subject to demand and interest, I also make 3-4 trips to NZ, 2 week, 2 man parties each season to sight – fish the South Island for trophy brown and rainbow trout in backcountry rivers. Season is from October through to April on most rivers, and 2019/ 20 season fully committed already, but can still fit in one late March / early April trip should there be some interest. Having lived in NZ for over 6 years and fished the South
Island for close to 20 years you are assured of an experience to remember.
Contact me for any details regarding any of the options above – tidalloops@outlook.com or (+27) 79 943 0291 and I can fill you in on the details.
